Who is Maryam K. Aryafar?
I have completed my training in coaching at Adler Graduate Professional School. I also have a Master’s degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology and continued on for my PhD in Human Resources Management.
Throughout my life, I have been passionate about helping others and feel that it is my social responsibility to support as many people as I can. Consequently, I dedicated many years of my life to pursuing humanitarian causes. In order to fulfill my dream of philanthropic work, I became a director at two not-for-profit charities.
Mental health and wellbeing, as well as education and women’s rights have always been significant driving factors in my life. Therefore, I decided to join these two organizations where I raised funds for homeless seniors with mental health disorders and young Middle Eastern girls’ education. I am a mother of two and have been married for 25 years. I grew into the role of becoming a mother by also helping raise my sisters. This experience gave me an opportunity of growth at a very young age and helped me realize the importance of empathy and support for others.
I pursued a career in coaching because I truly believe in the process and found it to be an effective way of helping people. I am extremely passionate about my work and believe coaching to be my calling in life.
